Interior Environment Programmed Maintenance System Course

Interior Environment Programmed Maintenance System Course

The collegian style course teaches the undergraduate the process of developing cleaning programs. This instructional program includes identifying definitions of terminology, scope of services, and performance standards. Then apply those elements to ascertain tasks and frequencies, detail building attributes, color-code floor plans, and itemize square footage tables. The final component is a complete quality assurance program which ensures training, managing, and monitoring of the program to validate the program meets the needs of the customer.

    Infectious Disease Control Course

Interior Environment Programmed Maintenance System Course

Interior Environment Programmed Maintenance System Course

This course offers a thorough and detailed investigation and analysis of infectious organisms (pathogens) that have the potential of developing into contagious disease. The undergraduate is introduced to the role of bacteria, viruses, mold, fungi, and parasites, and how to combat them in the built environment. By recognizing the transmission sources, airborne, physical contact, and touch points, the student will be able to determine the best cleaning, sanitizing, disinfecting, and sterilizing methods for eliminating or reducing the effects of these contagions.

    Auditor Course

Interior Environment Programmed Maintenance System Course

This auditing course is based on evaluating a building using the essential 28 industry standards and auditing tools.  It is a thorough detailed program that instructs the undergraduates how to perform an advanced cleanliness audit. It defines the benchmark audit and addresses the frequency of audits. The student learns how to provide a comprehensive trend analysis of historical and current data. The analysis identifies patterns, predicts future outcomes, and informs strategic decisions. A corrective action report is generated using common scoring platforms that include the 5 levels of APPA, 4 levels (excellent, good, fair, and poor), 3 levels (green, yellow, and red), 2 levels (pass, fail, deficiency identification), and digital cloud-based software programs.

    Floor Maintenance Course

This floor care course is designed to go beyond tactical cleaning to include flooring category identification (stone, concrete, clay-based, wood, resilient, and specialty) as well as the classifications within them. The cleaning and maintenance cycle (initial, initial restorative, daily/routine, periodic/interim, and restorative) and the service procedures used in each time period. The undergraduate learns to use assessment criteria (environment, traffic conditions, congestion, time factors, and budget) to determine the best program for each flooring material. A thorough, comprehensive, and detailed analysis of all hard surface flooring services (processes and procedures) that goes beyond basic information to understand the complexities of cleaning and maintaining floors.

    Strategic Management Course

Designed for the operational cleaning manager responsible for managing and monitoring the cleaning contracts. This course details the operational requirements of the cleaning contract and entails learning how to determine the overall workload, develop the cleaning routes and assign roles and responsibilities to achieve the end result. A thorough exploration of scheduling services challenges in various departments (cleaning technicians, carpet cleaning and hard surface floor and windows) and how to overcome them. Comprehensive managerial overview or staffing and administrative responsibilities, which include interviewing and hiring, assigning personnel, operational review, and performance improvement.
